I have personally been in the medical profession for the majority of my life. I have met eczema sufferers from all walks of life and each of them had one thing in common. They were looking for some sort of cure. It is important for you to understand that eczema is often referred to as dermatitis or atopic dermatitis.

If you are an individual who is suffering from eczema you have probably had run ins with a lot of other so called health professionals. These medical professionals are quick to prescribe you some overly priced eczema cream. They will never tell you that there are several eczema products out there that are cheap and all natural that will work just as good if not better.

During my years in the medical field I have noticed that virgin coconut oil has gotten some spectacular results with eczema skin conditions. I have interviewed numerous doctors who have literally given up on their patients and their medical eczema products. I have seen this happen with extreme eczema conditions.

For most eczema sufferers this is unacceptable. This is what drives them to search for cures themselves such as the virgin coconut oil that I mentioned earlier. The best part about virgin coconut oil is it can be purchased at any health food store, and it’s extremely affordable.

If you decide to try virgin coconut oil all you have to do is simply massage it deep into the affected area and or areas. The hard part is done… Now you can relax and let the virgin coconut oil do it’s job of healing.

For a moment I want to ask you to remember the fact that your body is one of natures greatest creations. With that fact in mind I want you to understand that nature has provided everything that you need to heal yourself. The problem comes when big business steps in the picture and begins to hide the truth from people like you and I. Although I could go on forever on that subject matter this isn’t the time or place for that.

I know I may have digressed, however I am back on track now. Lets move on to another type of eczema which is known as, “contact dermatitis.” This condition can be triggered by a variety of things such as jewelry, perfumes, eye glasses, the chemicals in cosmetics, lipstick, lotions, soaps, even fabric softeners. The list goes on and on, my goal is to just give you a general idea of some of the ways that some individuals can be affected by contact dermatitis.

Before you start treating yourself for eczema I highly recommend that you buy a journal and keep track of your results. Track when you have a breakout and some of the possible reasons that you had the breakout. Your goal is to narrow down and eventually determine what is causing the breakouts. You will also want to track the results of your treatment i.e. is your natural treatment working? If so how long is it taking to work? Track every possible detail.

After keeping a journal for a little while you will want to determine if your type of dermatitis is triggered by contact dermatitis which is an external condition or if it is triggered by an internal condition. Internal conditions are triggered by things that you eat or ingest into the body.
