Just 1 cup of chopped broccoli provides 135 percent of the recommended daily allowance for Vitamin C and 11 percent for Vitamin A all for only 31 calories.

4. Eggs Eggs are a great way to start your day in the mornings because they are a good source of protein, which gives you tons of energy to get your day started.

One large egg provides 6 grams of protein and is only 71 calories. Eggs are a great source of thiamin, vitamin B12, biotin, pantothenic acid, Vitamin D, Vitamin K, and copper.

5. Old Fashioned Oatmeal We have all been eating oatmeal since we were kids, and there is no need to stop now. However, you must cook the old fashioned kind, not the instant kind. Oatmeal has whole grains, is a rich source of fiber, and protein. It is great for lowering cholesterol, preventing cancer, good for digestion, and overall healthy body function. You can add raisins, nuts, and berries to your oatmeal as well to give it a little extra flavor and excitement.
